Pickup from Hotel and jouney towards Jispa

Visit Atal Tunnel - World's Longest Tunnel above 10,000 ft.

Now we'll stop in Sissu at Helipad for activity and sightseeing.

You can have lunch here.

Then we'll reach Jispa Camp Site by evening.

Cross Shinku La (Shingo La), a high pass linking Lahaul with Zanskar; expect rough track, stream crossings, and stunning wide valleys.

Reach Phuktal trailhead (usually near Purne side) and trek half hours one way to the cliff‑side Phuktal Gompa, one of the most remote monasteries in Zanskar.

Return from monastery to road head, lunch, then continue drive towards Padum, the administrative centre of Zanskar Valley.

Arrive Padum by evening

First visit Karsha Gompa, one of the largest and most prominent monasteries in Zanskar, located on a hillside overlooking the valley.

Explore Zangla Palace / Fort area and old structures showcasing traditional Zanskar architecture.

Late afternoon return to Padum; free time at market / riverside for photography and relaxation.

Depart Padum for Pensi La Pass.

Climb to Pensi La, a scenic high pass offering wide valley views.

Main highlight: Drang Dung (Drang Drung) Glacier viewpoint – massive glacier with clear views from the road, perfect for group photos and landscape shots.

Return drive to Padum by evening.

Drive back towards Shinku La side with planned halt near the sacred peak region popularly referred to as Gonbo/Gonbo Rangjon.

En route, enjoy repeat views of deep Zanskar valley and river landscapes from another perspective.

Reach Gonbo area by afternoon
